KANELAND—A recent seasonal trend with Kaneland wrestling is an uphill climb at first, but once Kaneland gets tournaments under its belt and conference season hits the homestretch, things look better.
On Friday, Kaneland High School honored the 1982 wrestling team before the varsity match against Morris. The team had a record of 16 wins and only 6 losses, with five of those losses being by eight points or less.
KANELAND—It’s tough to stand out at a wrestling invite, 22 teams deep.
For a select few KHS wrestlers, they were able to barrel through their fields for some noteworthy finishes at the 37th annual Sycamore Invite on Saturday.
DEKALB—Kaneland’s wrestling roster made its usual stop in a first-time locale as 2011 drew to a close.

KANELAND—The season opener featured a 45-34 loss to Wheaton-Warrenville South, a 34-28 win over the Pretzels of Freeport, and a 42-36 loss to Burlington Central.
KANELAND—It’s no small task; to ask a group of grapplers to perform after losing graduates like State-goers Jimmy Boyle and Kyle Davidson of a year ago.
Kaneland’s Hall of Fame is looking for contact information concerning members of the 1977 volleyball team, 1979 girls’ basketball team, 1982 wrestling team and 1988 boys’ cross-country team.
